A fresh take on “traveling like a local”, The Almanaq is a highly curated program that acts as the ultimate insider guide, giving travelers fun and tangible ways to dive deep into the culture, connect with locals, and give back to the community. Most of all, it’s a unique experience they will never forget.

RUBY S. NICHOLS

 

began her career as a Brand Strategist at renowned ad agencies in New York and LA, including TBWA/Chiat/Day LA and Arnold NYC. After 8 years, she decided to pursue her passion for discovering the world and supporting local artisans by founding Almanac Of Style – a travel-inspired online shop with a mission to support local talent and creative communities worldwide. AOS was featured in the LA Times, The Huffington Post, Curbed LA, Uncover LA, and was named one of the “Top 24 Travel Sites and Blogs” by Fathom. 

Ruby is excited to partner with Heather on this next evolution of her business, where she can further support the creative economy in beloved artist communities around the globe through The Almanaq.




 

HEATHER ROMA

is Island born, east coast bred and west coast at heart (Topanga Canyon to be exact).  She’s the founder of The Westside Collective Agency – a collective of creatives who help brands from concept to consumer and everywhere in between: product development and production, branding, digital content and management, and events.

As former owner/designer of AMORROMA and Growler Goods, her brands have been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, In Style, People and Sunset magazine to name a few. Her brands have also been found at Free People, Urban Outfitters and other exceptional retailers.

Heather is a former yurt liver and owner of a vintage trailer that's been featured on HGTV Tiny House Hunters and Peerspace Most Unusual Places for Rent and is now an Airbnb and retail/event space. She is excited to expand on retail experiences with Ruby through The Almanaq.
